International Yoga Day has been celebrated all over the world on 21st June every year since 2015. On the occasion of the 8th World Yoga Day- 21st June 2022, Kaveri College organized a special programme for students and professors. With respect to the significance of mental, physical and emotional effects of the Corona Pandemic on the human body, the theme for this year’s International Yoga Day was ‘Yoga for Humanity’. Vice principal Dr. Mukta Karmarkar welcomed the yoga instructor Smt. Kalyani Tulpule. Mrs. Tulpule said that It is important to include yoga in your life for a better lifestyle. Yoga keeps the body healthy and relieves mental stress. She explained the benefits of regular yoga practice and certain rules while doing yoga to students and professors of Kaveri college and guided them with demonstrations. The event organizer and moderator Dr. Anand Buddhikot proposed a vote of thanks to the audience. All the teachers, non-teaching staff and students of the college actively participated in the event.
