NSS Unit of Kannada Sangha Pune’s Kaveri College of Arts, Science and Commerce has organized World Cycle Day on Friday, 3rd June 2022, under the title Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. It was celebrated with a motive by appealing to the students to use bicycles to reach college campus and promote affordable, clean, healthy and eco-friendly mode of transport on the occasion of World Bicycle Day. Actively responding to this initiative, a large number of students participated and enjoyed this campaign. Principal Dr.Ashok Agarwal, appreciated the students for their spontaneous huge response and co-operation to this environment friendly campaign.
NSS-API Ms.Sujata Bacchav briefed the students about the importance and need of elebrating World Cycle Day. While addressing the gathering, she said that cycles are the cheapest and most eco-friendly means of transport and using bicycles in day to day life is not only good for the environment but also beneficial for our own health. Dr. Anand Buddhikot took sincere efforts in the execution of this event, and inspired students to make more and more use of cycles in routine life.
